Sanjaya Sooriarachchi, MD, has focused his medical career on caring for geriatric patients. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. He completed his family practice residency training at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Illinois. Dr. Sooriarachchi furthered his medical training by completing a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Maine Dartmouth Family Practice in Augusta, Maine.
Dr. Sooriarachchi is board certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Prior to joining Georgetown Center for Adult Medicine’s newest location, he practiced with Scott and White in College Station and WellMed’s Senior Clinic in Austin. While living in Missouri and working for Cox Senior Health Center he started the first Cox Health Center Memory Clinic in collaboration with neurologists there. He also served as medical director of Green Haven Nursing Home in Springfield.
Dr. Sooriarachchi was born in Sri Lanka and speaks fluent Sinhala. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children.
