About
Angela Eklund, MD, provides comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients and is proud to be part of the Georgetown community. She earned her BA in biology from the University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin.
Dr. Eklund previously worked for Baylor Scott and White in Temple as a hospitalist, and while there, served as an associate professor of internal medicine where she enjoyed training and mentoring medical students and residents. She also held a leadership role as associate director of the Division of Inpatient Medicine for many years and led quality improvement initiatives, including a project to improve outcomes for patients who have sepsis.
She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
